Tidal Sails’ unique renewable energy technology harnesses ocean currents and tidal streams converting the energy into emission free electricity using underwater sails. The sails, attached to two wire ropes, travel in a triangular pattern driving large sheaves which in turn drive a generator. In general linearly moving sails have great extraction efficiency, thus resulting in significant cost reductions.The technology may be applied in different settings protected by several patents worldwide.
